Measure Could Create nearly 3,000 Missouri Jobs

For 100 years, Missouri’s electricity has been operating under the same regulatory environment. While other states, 46 to be specific, have been updating and modernizing their grid, lowering consumer energy costs, and creating more reliable energy, Missouri has been moving at a snail’s pace. Energy costs in the Show-Me State have risen 46.7 percent since 2007. The national average is 11.2 percent over that same time period. Senate Approves Measure that Allows Investment in Energy Infrastructure


Bill Enables Grid Modernization Under Current PSC Framework

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Senate approved a measure today that will reform the state’s century-old regulatory environment by capping rates and allowing for grid modernization. Senate Bill 564 will not only help make significant improvement to Missouri’s regulatory environment, it will also enable our infrastructure to be modernized under the current Public Service Commission (PSC) framework.
